7 Months Ago Today…

I began a journey that forever changed my view of the world

Let’s start by taking you back to a year ago today. I was not in my happiest of times to say the least. I was about to graduate and had recently discovered that I was not accepted into Nursing for that Fall of 2016. I think I can confidently say that this was the first time that I had “failed” majorly at not achieving something I wanted. Everything usually just happened for me and well, this didn’t. SO what was I going to do with my life?

Fast forward to the summer of 2016. I was working on a haul truck which meant long hours…by long I mean 12-16 hour days!! Yup those were fun. Actually I LOVED my job, truly did. However, when you work on average 14 hour days and throughout the entire summer you only take about 15 holidays, there is very minimal time to spend with friends or even family for that matter! I found myself growing very disconnected and by the time summer ended I felt like I had literally missed ALL of it. Do I regret it? No. It gave me the opportunity to discover who my true friends are and also to have the luxury to travel to Germany.

Fall 2016. University. The number of emotions that flow through you those first few months can be overwhelming. At times you feel on top of the world or like you can’t breathe from the amount of things you “should” be doing. By the time the first round of midterms was over, I felt like I could slowly begin swimming back to the surface, but like I was still stuck.

Jump to October 31, 2016…7 months ago from today. I made a decision that drastically changed my life. I don’t even know if I want to tell anyone what it is…cause you might all think so?! Well, I bought a Young Living Premium Starter Kit and decided to live more consciously. Yeah that may not seem like a big deal and it didn’t at the time for me either but now I don’t know what I would do without the oils I use daily.

Sometimes you just need a little extra push to get on the roller coaster

This was mine. I became immersed into a community called The Happy Oilers. A community full of love, support, a passion for wellness, doing the best for themselves and of course others too. They became a bit of an inspiration to me, to say the least. They gave me a turning point, a place to start to continuously better myself.

Now let us talk briefly about winter break. I spent a TON of time winter break thinking about where I want my life to go, how I want to help others (whether that be through nursing or Young Living) and how I could begin taking better care of myself. I realized an opportunity that I had been handed when I received my Starter Kit, I had the opportunity to become an independent distributor. Ya ya I know what you’re thinking…but it gives me the opportunity to help support others just like I needed 7 months ago!

In summary, Young Living has given me a way to focus on bettering myself in ALL aspects, the biggest for me being emotional. The community sparked my entrepreneurship once again and the BEST part?! I have people who are joining me which means that in a small little way I am able to help and support them too! This just helps to fill my cup up even more.

It doesn’t end there. Yes Young Living has been a large portion in helping to get myself to where I am today…much happier to say the least! However, it has also given me an insight to a different way of living. Living a life of purpose, supporting others and doing what you are most passionate about.[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][image_with_animation image_url=”3169″ alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In” border_radius=”5px” box_shadow=”small_depth” max_width=”75%”][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”30″][vc_column_text]

Design the life you want to live. Don’t focus on money…ever. Focus on how you want to live and how you can achieve that.

I know I want to live in a way where I can support others and where I can have the freedom to travel to anywhere I please. As for the rest, I am just going to let it fall into place.

I don’t have it all figured out…and I never will! Life is meant to be constantly changing whether we want it to or not. You can either jump on the ride or wave as it passes you by, the choice is always yours.

If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be don’t wait. Do what makes you happy and be with those you love. Also don’t let the fear of an opportunity be what stops you. Lastly NEVER let money be the reason you don’t say yes!
