Be Present

Life is one big rollercoaster and mine is currently doing loops, round and round

Have you ever been in a place in your life where you were more focused on the future then the present? Where ideas about what was to come next of the ideal life you wanted to create would just never stop swirling in your head?

I am currently there!

After Mindvalley, my super transformational month of 2018, I have so many goals and dreams of what I want to achieve and do in the next year! The list just never ends.

However, I know that when we multitask and do more than one thing at a time, both things that you are trying to do suffer. The best way to get something accomplished is by true focus and 99% attention on one task.

But how do I pick one goal or dream to work on when I want to do them all?!

On top of everything else I just recently made a big ‘life’ decision…I have now officially withdrawn from the nursing program. Yea that was a tough one!

Even though the career did not fit with the values, goals and dreams I have for my life, I will never regret my year of nursing school! You can always find value in education.

This is a big change…for the first time since I was 4 years old I will not be attending school this fall. Woah!

“Get comfortable with being uncomfortable”

Now with so many new doors opening from the closing of that one, all these new ideas in my head about where I want to go and what I want to do can become very overwhelming!

I have to constantly remind myself to focus on the present and enjoy each moment of the journey. This is not easy! Sometimes I have to do it multiple times a day.

Change is something that we all go through, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. No one is ever in the exact same place they were a year before! We are always constantly growing some more than others.

Well even though I am pretty darn excited to see where the next year takes me, being present and fully enjoying the time and stage of my journey that I am in now is just as equally rewarding as the changes life is to bring next.
