Longest Pedestrian Suspension Bridge

Just recently completed, the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world! Located in the beautiful Harz mountains of Germany. This would be a perfect little day trip if you plan on visiting Wernigerode.

The bridge spans 458m and is almost 100m above the ground. It is located by the Rappbode Dam which is Germany’s highest water reservoir.

While I was listening to the radio in Germany, they shared about the grand opening of this bridge so of course I wanted to go!

We traveled there when everything was closed two days after the grand opening, so it was super quiet! It is also great to know that you can walk on the bridge at anytime for only 6 euros.

Apparently here you can also go zip lining or take a 75m bungee jump off the bridge.

I definitely left this place with a huge smile on my face!
